Due to a contract award, we are recruiting experienced and compassionate carers to support children and young people with complex care needs in the Swansea area. Location: Swansea, South Wales
Hours: Day Shifts (12 hours), Night Shifts (12 hours), 7 days per week
Pay: £14.50 per hour (via PAYE) or £18.27 per hour (via Umbrella)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, high-quality care to children and young people with complex physical, emotional, or behavioural needs.

  • Support individuals with their daily routines, including personal care, mobility, medication, and engagement in activities.

  • Remain calm and responsive during challenging behaviours or emotional crises.

  • Build trusting relationships through consistent, empathetic support.

  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and the wider Airmid care team.

  • Accurately complete and maintain care records and reports.


Mandatory Requirements:

  • Level 3 Health and Social Care: Practice (Children and Young People)This qualification is essential.

  • Registration with CIW (Care Inspectorate Wales)This is a legal requirement for this role.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children or young people in a health or social care setting.

  • Practical Moving and Handling training (up to date)

  • Practical CPR (Basic Life Support) training (up to date)

  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs, including emotional and behavioural support.

  • Strong communication skills and a person-centred, trauma-informed approach.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
