Children’s Care Assistant/ Support Worker – Cardiff, South Wales

Location: Greater Cardiff, South Wales
Pay Rate: £14.50-£17.00 per hour PAYE
Role Type: Part-time full-time shifts

Airmid Staffing is looking for experienced Care Assistants and Support Workers who have worked with children to provide respite care and support children in accessing community activities across the Greater Cardiff area.
This is an excellent opportunity for Care Assistants and Support Workers seeking a rewarding part-time or full-time role, with the chance to develop their skills and experience in children’s care. Ongoing shifts are available, with training and clinical support provided.

About the role

You will be supporting children with a range of care needs. Duties include:

  • Supporting children with physical disabilities and medical needs
  • Supporting children with learning disabilities
  • Supporting children with Mental health challenges and behavioural needs
  • Medication administration where required
  • Personal care responsibilities
  • Escalation of concerns

We are looking for Care Staff who have:

  • Relevant QCF/ NVQ qualification
  • Experience working with Children
  • Registration with Social Care Wales
  • A calm, professional and child-centred approach
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a wider care team
