Paediatric Complex Care Nurse – Newport, South Wales

  • Pay Rate: £48,000 per year FTE or £29.08 per hour (PAYE)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Paediatric Complex Care Nurse to provide specialist care for a 10 year old boy with complex medical needs. This is a highly rewarding role where your expertise will make a significant impact on the child’s well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tube Feeding – Provide nutritional support via a gastrostomy tube.

  • Suctioning – Perform both oral and deep suctioning to manage secretions.

  • Seizure Management- Be able to identify and manage seizures.
  • Medication Administration – Accurately administer and manage multiple medications.

  • Oxygen Saturation Monitoring – Ensure oxygen levels remain stable and within a safe range.

Requirements:

  • Experience in paediatric complex care, ideally with infants.

  • Proficiency in seizure management, tube feeding, suctioning, and medication administration.

  • Ability to remain calm and act effectively in emergency situations.

  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centred approach.

Complex Carer/Healthcare Assistant- Children’s Care
 
Location: Gloucestershire Wide
Hours: Day Shifts & Night Shifts, Weekend Shifts available  

Pay: £16.35 per hour (via PAYE)

We are seeking Support Workers to provide complex care for children with a range of complex issues, across Gloucestershire. This rewarding opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact in the life of children working in a supportive, caring environment in a home-based setting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to young children
  • Be proactive with managing activities & sensory play
  • Ability to communicate clearly & effectively through verbal & written means.

  • Must have a calm demeanour and a playful personality
  • Maintain clear and accurate care observation records
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of personal care

Requirements:

  • At least a 1 years’ experience working with Children
  • Proven experience in Paediatric Complex Care
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Airmid care team, MDT and family.
  • Compassionate, empathetic approach to patient-focused care
  • Experience with Tracheostomy, PEG/NG/NJ Feeding, Ventilators, Deep suctioning, Epilepsy (not all essential)
  • Experience with Learning Disabilities
