Complex Care Assistant – East Malling, Kent

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Complex Care Assistant to support a young patient with complex medical needs in their home in East Malling. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide essential care in a family environment, ensuring the child’s safety, comfort, and well-being.

Job Details:

• Location: East Malling, Kent

• Pay: £15 per hour PAYE | £19 per hour Umbrella

• Shift Pattern:

  • Wednesday to Friday: 7:00 PM – 6:00 AM

  • Alternate weekends: 12-hour shifts (day or night, depending on rota)

• Driving license required – must be able to drive to the patient’s home

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and assist with daily needs

• Support with PEG feeding and ensure safe administration

• Perform suctioning past the back teeth when required

• Assist with NIV ventilation and Bi-Pap therapy

• Monitor and respond to seizure activity, providing necessary interventions

• Administer medications as per care plan

• Assist with Moving and Handling tasks safely

• Maintain clear and accurate care records

You will be working closely with the child’s family and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care is provided in a comfortable home setting.

Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK

• Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle

• At least 6 months of personal care experience (home care, hospital, or care home)

• DBS on update service or willingness to obtain one

• Basic Life Support and Moving/Handling training

• Two professional references
